All techniques under "Other Techniques", through Shodan, Come from Professor Kimo Ferreira's Kempo Justsu-Kai Fudoshin, Take and Ichitaita come from Sonny Gascon as 1 Kata, 2 Kata and 5 Kata respectively as does Statue of the Crane. Pinan Shodan, Nidan, Sandan, Yondan and Godan come from Yasutsune "Ankoh" Itosu's style of Shito Ryu 6 Kata comes from George Pesare Kushanku (Kanku-Dai): Kushanku was actually the name of a traveling companion of Shionja (of the style Shuri-Te), Kushanku was brought to Okinawa by Shionja and influenced the style of Shuri-Te in the village of Shuri by teaching them a Ch'uan Fa Form, which the natives dubbed Kushanku after their teacher. Bassai-Dai is a kata with a complex background, nobody is really sure if it comes from Okinawa or China, as done in Tenchi Bujutsu it most closely resembles that of a Shotokan Stylist. Wanshu is said to be a Kata from the style of Tomari-Te out of the villiage of Tomari, near the villiage of Shuri on the Island of Okinawa. The Shuri clan were said to have had some influence in it's creation. For the IDMAA lineage Tree, please Click Here.
